    Job Description:


    Chalet Restaurant Group is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Sales and Events Director to lead our sales department and drive revenue growth through the sale of event spaces across our portfolio of iconic Bay Area restaurants.

    This presents a unique opportunity to spearhead the growth of our Sales and Events department.

    The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing sales teams, selling event spaces, and thriving in the hospitality industry.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead and inspire a high-performing team across five properties, with a primary focus on selling event spaces for private events, banquets, and catering services.

    Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue generation from event space rentals, meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to drive business development opportunities in the events and hospitality industry.

    Drive the sales process for private events, banquets, and catering services, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.

    Collaborate closely with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement integrated marketing and promotional initiatives that drive sales and enhance brand visibility specifically for event spaces.

    Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in the events segment.

    Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress and optimize resource allocation specifically for event sales.

    Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve sales effectiveness and operational efficiency in event sales.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.

    Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in sales roles within the hospitality industry, with a focus on selling event spaces.

    Proven track record of successfully managing teams of 3 or more individuals.
    Extensive experience in selling event spaces, banquets, and catering services.
    Strong background in marketing with the ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies specifically for event sales.
    Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth in event sales.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


    Compensation:
    Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The compensation structure includes a base salary plus commission, with additional benefits and incentives.
