    Purpose of the role:

    Responsible for the successful operation of the Wildhawk bar, while supporting beverage operations. They will lead the day to day operations of the team and be responsible for scheduling and executing the special events.

    Responsibilities:

    • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Director when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • To extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
    • Responsible for initiating all bar communication with Bartender staff, must keep staff apprised of all property updates.
    • Responsible for maintaining the safety & sanitation of bar.
    • Responsible for initiating training program for all new bartenders and train staff on new specialty drinks.
    • To assist with monthly liquor inventory program.
    • To be completely familiar with company beverage line and drink recipes.
    • To provide properly mixed cocktails and other beverages, as requested, to service staff and the guests.
    • To use suggestive selling techniques to promote the sale of food and beverages.
    • To follow all specified procedures to properly open and close the bar, including handling bar keys, reports and performing all necessary side work.
    • To maintain adequate stock of beverages, supplies and clean glassware in accordance with established pars and routine procedures, and be responsible for the security of beverage stock while on duty.
    • To maintain the organization of the bar areas at all time, including emptying trash as needed.
    • To review and verify previous shift's inventory, at the beginning of every shift.
    • To follow all specified procedures to correctly handle cash, including signing paid-out sheet for tips received, maintaining adequate cash amount in bank, giving correct change for cash transactions, ringing all drinks through the POS system, and accurately processing credit cards.
    • To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.
    • To represent and market the Wildhawk in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote the Wildhawk bar internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property.
    • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-years experience in a similar role and display basic knowledge of foods and beverages, service standards and procedures.
    • Must have current Food Handler Certificate and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate that reviews all California liquor laws.
    • Current CPR certification preferred.
    • Detail oriented, organized, and efficient.
    • Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
    • Courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
    • Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

    Working Conditions:

    Works indoors mainly in adequately lighted bar area. Work areas may be crowded or noisy. Exposed to outside conditions while servicing outside area. Bar floors may be uneven and may be slippery.

    Physical Demands:

    Stands/walks moderate distances throughout shift. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks. Ability to move objects weighing up to 40lbs over moderate distances. Frequent use of stairs, daily.

    Our ideal candidate Must know the fundamentals of beverage mixing, inventory and pars, glass types ad uses, and drink recipe knowledge. Additionally they must be familiar with Aloha computer system with good basic math skills. May be required to work weekends and late nights.
