- Provides technical guidance in drafting and reviewing emergency plans, processes and procedures, to include emergency/disaster plans, Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) Plan and other related contingency programs. Prepares and carries out a number of staff assignments related to development and maintenance of an effective COOP.
- Provides input for logistics plans and operations as well as the development and implementation of logistics processes and conducts exercises in emergency / disaster after action reviews and lessons learned sessions.
- Respond to disasters, may serve as a team member, with responsibility for ensuring successful accomplishment of duties by in support of the team.
- Monitors various government and private sector systems to gather and disseminate emergency information relating to the occurrence, magnitude, and impact of actual or potential emergencies.
