    What You Will Do:
    • Administers nursing care for outpatients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with the nursing department and inter disciplinary team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the infusion center setting.
    • Assesses the patient's condition and nursing needs; sets goals; prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
    • Administers immunotherapy/chemotherapy as needed.
    • Administers other medications as ordered by the Physician and provides wound care and other nursing skills as needed.
    • Reports pertinent patient observations and reactions to the appropriate person and records those observations accurately and concisely.
    • Participates in daily report and other routine meetings.
    • Handles incoming calls relating to patient care addressing needs/updating patient by the end of the business day.
    • Assists in preparing reports and developing procedures.
    • Develops and utilizes teaching programs for patients and families based on their specific need.
    • Provides direct and/or indirect care to patients utilizing Firelands practice standards and evidence-based practice.
    • Regularly demonstrates the ability to serve patients of all ages in the routine performance of duties.
    • Participates in economical utilization ordering of supplies and ensures that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
    • Demonstrates professional commitment through membership in specialty organization and nursing committees.
    • Completes patient charge form, to facilitate accurate billing.
    What You Will Need:
    • Current Ohio R.N. license. BSN preferred.
    • Ability to maintain neat and orderly records, reports and forms.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral instructions.
    • Ability to handle difficult telephone and face-to-face inquiries.
    • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
    • Ability to work in a stressful environment.
    • Ability to lift immobile patients.
