Stage Management Apprentice
The Stage Management Apprentice is an integral member of the stage management team, providing hands on support throughout rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and preview performances.
This apprenticeship is designed for early career stage managers who want to deepen their skills in a professional, fast paced regional theatre environment.
Apprentices receive mentorship from experienced AEA stage managers, gain insight into professional communication and workflow, and build connections that support future careers in stage management.
Lead Patron Services RepresentativeAs the Lead Patron Services Representative, you are the welcoming face and voice of La Jolla Playhouse. You ensure patrons have an exceptional experience - whether they're purchasing tickets, asking questions, or attending performances.
In this role, you serve as a knowledgeable resource for the Patron Services team, help train newer staff, and support the organization through accurate, attentive ticketing and customer care.
You'll also develop deeper expertise in Tessitura and gain hands on experience supporting the box office's daily operations.Props Supervisor
The Props Supervisor has the primary responsibility of managing the Props Department and overseeing execution of the props design from design development through completion.
They oversee the construction, installation, maintenance and transfer of props (built, purchased, rented, or otherwise) for all productions produced and presented by La Jolla Playhouse including festivals and special events while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
This position works directly with the design and creative teams for each production, interprets technical plans, pictures, and verbal ideas, presents efficient technical and artistic solutions to the design and production teams, estimates labor and material budgets, and tracks budgets throughout the production process.
The Props Supervisor, in collaboration with the other Production Department Supervisors, will take an active role in communication with Designers, IATSE Stagehands and La Jolla Playhouse Management to ensure all departments are informed about Prop designs, changes, planning, and scheduling for each production.
