- Consult with Internal clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
- Use technical knowledge and experience to accurately estimate the cost of labor, materials, and equipment required for each project.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technicians and project managers, to gather relevant information and ensure accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates, including breakdowns of costs and timelines, for client review.
- Present estimates to clients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, including documentation of client communications and any revisions to estimates.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, pricing, and technology to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including supporting Service managers and technicians during busy periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in HVAC or related fields preferred.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician or estimator, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate costs and estimates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer programs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site visits.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to client locations as needed.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
