    Job Description Job Description This role is located at our US Headquarters in Noblesville, IN.PURPOSEThe lead engineer defines problems, conducts research, analyzes criteria, determines solutions, and makes decisions.

    Much of this position's time is spent on research, solution application, and information transfers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIESCreativity, innovation of existing departmental processes and/or existing productsReliability, be available to complete tasks/projects as required by internal/external customer requirementsCommunicate with various departments or with individuals directly associated with assigned tasks/projects (Verbal and Written)Occasional travel; mainly for training purposes, customer support/projects, potential trips to Japan, or validation tripsTake verbal and/or written directions on tasks, training, projects, or department/company policiesProvide verbal and or written results, a summary of tasks/projects, or requests to various persons during the execution of tasks/projectsProduce the end product of requested tasks/projects in the form of components, assemblies, drawings, data files, proposals, or reportsCollect, interpret, and clarify customer requirements.

    Develop/modify designs to meet customer-provided requirementsProvide specific customer supportEstablish and improve product cost targetsComplete detailed product analysisLead the introduction of standard products for distribution and manufacturingLead projectsAssist other design engineers with projectsProvide training to engineersProvide product and process assistance to the manufacturing team as requestedRecord daily activitiesWill be assigned tasks for training and development purposesOther duties, as assigned to support company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTSustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of timeThe occasional physical demand of moving or rearranging files and file storage boxes, and or productFast-paced office environmentMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Engineering or similar disciplineMinimum 8+ years of experienceProficient with CAD software (Design & Manufacturing principles)Complete understanding of common manufacturing practicesAbility to handle multiple projectsGood oral and written skillsAbility to deal with internal and external customers tactfully and in a professional manner
