Construction Superintendent - Savannah, United States - LMS Investment Management

LMS Construction is seeking a Full Time Construction Superintendent for their multifamily builds across the Southeast. This individual will provide oversight, direction, and accountability to the onsite project teams. They will lead projects to safely complete on schedule and on budget. They will coordinate between design team, subcontractors, and the operation teams to solve problems. They will lead collaboration amongst the team and help drive progress and execution on-site. The ability to communicate, drive a schedule, understand constructability and creatively problem-solve while representing LMS and their values is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily communication with Contractors, Design Team, and Key Players involved in the project.
• Oversees daily operations at the Construction site while at the construction site.
• Leads morning meeting with site crews.
• Ability to remove constraints and roadblocks that affect overall schedules or project flow.
• Ability to communicate at a high level, show good judgement and think critically to solve problems.
• Coordinate and collaborate with different disciplines both virtually and in person.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to affectively complete projects
• Create project schedules and hold responsible parties accountable to executing their respective work to ensure the overall success of the project.
• Ensures work is put in place according to constructions drawing and plans and provides leadership for means and methods of the construction build.
• Writes Daily logs, QC reports, and other necessary documentation
• Oversee safety and quality control for the projects.
• Ensures the team adheres to all company policies and safety protocols
• Makes sure all local, state, and national code and regulations are followed
• Oversee, speak to, coordinate, and ensure proper constructability and provide suggestions for better, more efficient ways to build.
• Ability to communicate via RFI's and submittals with related parties.
• Attending production meeting with key stake holders and sub-contractors
• Coordinates with inspection authorities regarding approvals

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years' experience as a construction superintendent or related
• Experience in leading projects
• In-Depth understanding of construction operations and process
• Demonstrates strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excels at motivating a team and has strong management skills.
• Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, stand, walk, sit as the job demands.
