Job summary
Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide direct safe quality care throughout treatment and disease process under direction of MD or NP/PA provider and or oversight of direct supervisor LPN and or RN. Key responsibilities include measuring patient height weight vital signs screening for pain distress clinical depression scores required for each patient visit reviewing verifying medication lists preferred pharmacy information with patient for accuracy entering updating information in EMR at each encounter.Responsibilities
- Measures patient height / weight and vital signs Screens for and documents pain distress clinical depression scores required for each patient visit.
- Calls patients with lab results verbatim instructions at the direction of the provider and under supervision of an LPN/RN.
