    The Business & Sales Operations (BSO) group is the center of excellence for cross-business execution performance, planning, and sales operations.

    The team helps scale execution, operationalize business & sales programs, and drive business, sales, and partner transformation that forward Microsoft's business objectives.


    The Resource Design Sales Operations Program Manager (SOPM) is an individual contributor on the Center of Excellence Team within the Business Sales & Operations (BSO) group.

    This role is responsible for managing Segmentation & Parenting for the Americas. This includes end-to-end understanding of sales and resource models, account data, Blueprint, and territory coverage rules across Americas.


    This role is responsible for ensuring accounts and partners are in the right segment and Operating Unit (OU) across the Americas with governance, transparency and consistency aligned with Microsoft's policies and practices.

    The Resource Design Sales Operations Program Manager is responsible for leading business requirements and landing necessary tools, reports, and processes to deliver results and insight with an emphasis on process automation and simplification.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    Segmentation & Parenting – Planning and In-year management

    Drive in-year Segmentation & Parenting operations to ensure accounts are parented correctly into the right Operating Unit and segment
    Plan and execute future year Segmentation and Territory Design planning, execution, and operations
    Ensure governance and risk mitigation in support of Americas and World Wide policies including managing audits, exceptions, and escalations
    Consult with leaders on Segmentation decisions and territory designs
    Improve account data hygiene in partnership with Operating Unit and World Wide teams
    Serve as Americas Subject Matter Experts focused on process improvement with Core, Finance, Operating Units teams
    Modernize processes, tools, and platforms to simplify and automate process, reduce costs, save time, achieve high quality
    Focus on providing process optimization by understanding the desired business outcome for Fiscal Year rollover
    Innovate to deliver standards which enable speed, efficiency, and scale in the business

    Qualifications

    Required Qualificiations


    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 5+ years experience in finance, consulting and/or program management.

    OR equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    4+ years' experience is preferred in Consulting, HR, Operations, Accounting and/or business in tech sector.
    Familiar with Microsoft's sales processes and strategies, tools, programs
    Deep understanding of business management and analysis for Sales Organizations
    Solid deadline orientation and ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
    Capability to manage audit and connect disparate data sets
    Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
    2+ years of experience with data and providing insights using tools such as PowerBI, Excel, etc. is required.
    Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing business environment
    Intellectual curiosity and solution oriented
    Desire to simplify and streamline processes to save time and money

    Sales Operations IC- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
