- Function as the project focal point for handling equipment and material procurement, commercial assessments, awards, logistics planning, field materials management, and EPC Subcontracting.
- Lead the bidding and award processes for long lead equipment packages.
- Concentrate on site-specific service contracts, materials agreements, and opportunities for bundling scopes to enhance efficiencies and cost-effectiveness across the portfolio.
- Regularly engage with disciplines like Engineering, Quality, and Construction to ensure cross-functional awareness and address any issues effectively.
- Collaborate with project Engineering, Supply Chain, and Payables teams to ensure timely purchase order closure and invoice payments.
- Position requires office-based work in Houston, focusing on our Unconventional Oil & Gas portfolio of capital projects.
- Act as the project focal point for the execution of equipment and material procurement, commercial evaluation, logistics planning, and EPC Subcontracting for the Unconventional Projects team.
- Lead endeavors to acquire and communicate global market intelligence and best practices in project sourcing to the team.
- Finalize Long Lead Equipment list and procurement schedule, incorporating factors like lead time and construction sequence, and oversee the execution of commitments.
- Manage the procurement activities for the full equipment list, from package preparation to bidding, evaluation, logistics execution, and delivery to site.
- Develop service contracts, materials agreements, and scope bundling opportunities for portfolio optimization.
- Utilize relationships with suppliers and Category Management to address order execution issues promptly.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders for effective procurement and contract management.
- Position entails office-based work with occasional business travel to collaborate with internal teams, EPC contractors, and visit field offices or vendor sites globally.
- BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related business field.
- Strong collaboration, analytical, and communication aptitude.
- Minimum 5 years of capital project experience with EPC contractors or large operators.
- Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas supply chain/procurement/sales experience.
- Proficient in business applications like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Adaptable to changing conditions and evolving supply chain requirements.
- Experience supporting upstream Oil & Gas projects, particularly unconventional Oil & Gas.
- General expertise in procurement/commercial functions.
- Specialization in Equipment and Material categories.
- Experience in Procurement Plans, Material Management, and Subcontracting Plans.
- Knowledge of end-to-end purchase-to-pay process and ERP systems.
- Extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders for strategic procurement.
- International, cross-cultural experience with effective negotiation skills.
- Leadership capabilities in setting standards, promoting innovation, and inspiring teams.
