- Oversee annual insurance renewal process and recommend improvements.
- Manage insurance invoices, claims, and Certificate of Insurance (COI) issuance.
- Coordinate insurance audits and compliance efforts, develop risk assessment and policy.
- Liaise with external tax firm, ensure tax compliance, and develop tax planning strategies.
- Review tax estimates and returns, manage tax payments, and monitor tax legislation.
- Coordinate international tax compliance and provide strategic tax support.
- Develop sales/use tax policies, oversee return filing, and manage audits.
- Monitor tax laws, collaborate with external accounting firm, and ensure cross-functional tax accuracy.
- Develop and implement fixed asset policies, maintain asset records, and ensure financial reporting compliance.
- Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers, manage depreciation, and collaborate on asset management.
- Maintain lease accounting framework, ensure compliance, and manage lease inventory.
- Support lease renewals and negotiations, reconcile lease accounting, and provide advisory.
- Oversee D&B account management, conduct credit profiling, and perform due diligence.
- Develop risk management policies, collaborate cross-functionally, and provide continuous monitoring.
- Streamline financial consolidation processes, oversee month-end close, and analyze financial data.
- Contribute to budgeting and financial planning, supervise accounting staff, and support strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate with external registered agent, manage Service of Process, and handle compliance notifications and updates.
- Bachelor's degree in a business discipline required; Master's degree in accounting/finance preferred. CPA preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting or finance in medium-large organizations with 100 employees or more.
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls development, and consolidation accounting needed.
- Proficiency in automated ERP accounting systems, and recent versions of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro required; Power BI or other data visualization software experience desired.
- Prior experience in income tax, sales/use tax, licensing, compliance, insurance programs strongly preferred.
- Ideal candidates will be located within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA.
