    Overview

    Senior Product Manager, Assay Solutions – Abcam, a Danaher operating company, located in Waltham, MA. The role focuses on developing a strategy and executing tactical actions to drive revenue growth and product life-cycle management for a franchise within the Abcam portfolio by infusing product and market expertise into collaborations with cross-functional teams (marketing, commercial, digital, manufacturing, and R&D).

    Reporting to the Senior Director, Assay Solutions, this on-site role is part of the Product Management team in Waltham, MA.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of an assay product franchise level strategy at short-, mid-, and long-term horizons aligned with the overall portfolio strategy and translate it into tactical actions for execution with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
    • Develop and refine expertise in the product portfolio and related market, customer, and competitive landscapes, and clearly articulate insights to inform discussions on strategy, new product development, go-to-market, manufacturing/supply chain, quality, and other key activities.
    • Implement and support go-to-market activities across channels and activities (digital, field, pricing, promotions).
    • Manage product life cycle, including data collection/management, pricing strategy execution, KPI selection/monitoring, product performance management, and portfolio curation through robust analyses.
    • Provide mentorship and coaching across the product organization to elevate capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and best-in-class product practices.

    Qualifications

    • BA, BSc or equivalent in a life science or related field (e.g., biology, biochemistry) with 3+ years of post-educational experience in product/portfolio management, R&D, project management, or technical support, with working knowledge of relevant scientific techniques and business processes in biochemical and/or cell-based assay development.
    • Strong business acumen with knowledge of the life science market and customer types; ability to drive and implement business priorities across multiple channels and levels.
    • Analytical mindset for data-driven decision making, including pricing, product data, performance monitoring, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration, with project management and process-improvement skills.

    Travel and Physical/Environment

    Ability to travel up to 20%, domestically and internationally. Note: italic text removed

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience with advanced analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
    • Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Ph.D., MD, MBA).
    • Experience working with a global team and supporting customers across global markets.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The annual salary range for this role is $130,000–$150,000. This range may be modified in the future. This job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Abcam offers comprehensive benefits including paid time off and health coverage; see Danaher Benefits Info for details.
