    Job Summary:


    The Oil Change Technician at Garlyn Shelton Auto Group in Temple, Texas is a full-time position within our auto industry.

    This individual contributor role is for a skilled and experienced technician who is responsible for performing oil change and basic maintenance services on customer vehicles.

    The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    This position offers a competitive compensation package of $10 to $20 per hour based on experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform oil changes on customer vehicles following manufacturer recommendations
    • Complete basic vehicle maintenance services such as tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid topoffs
    • Keep track of all completed services and properly document in company records
    • Conduct basic inspections of vehicle components for wear and tear
    • Identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or services to customers
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
    • Keep uptodate with industry trends and changes in automotive technology

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Previous experience as an oil change technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry
    • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair techniques
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
    • Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods of time
