Plaza Beach Resorts is a collection of award-winning, family-owned resorts located on St. Pete Beach. We are seeking a motivated individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is not a large corporate setting. Ownership is actively involved on property daily.
Candidates should be computer proficient, comfortable with sales, and genuinely enjoy working with people. Prior front desk experience is preferred but not required; we are happy to train the right individual who is eager to learn.
This office remains busy throughout the day, and front desk agents must be comfortable multitasking at all times. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Front Desk Agent to be the welcoming face of our resorts. In this role, you will manage guest check-ins and check-outs, handle guest inquiries, and ensure every visitor feels valued from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable stays for our guests.
Essential Job Responsibilities
-Provide guests with information regarding hotel policies, amenities, and services
-Respond promptly to guest requests for assistance and local area information
-Sell rooms to walk-in guests and maximize occupancy opportunities
-Check guests in and out while accurately entering information into the property management system
-Issue and properly control room keys
-Post charges and payments to guest accounts, make change, and balance the cash drawer
-Coordinate room status and availability with the housekeeping department
-Communicate maintenance needs and room status updates with the maintenance team
-Address guest concerns, suggestions, and complaints in a professional manner
-Escalate unresolved issues to the Front Office Manager
-Answer phones, enter reservations, respond to inquiries, and actively sell the property
-Monitor and respond to all front office emails
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office, lobby, and conference room
-Prepare coffee, set up and break down social hour, and empty trash receptacles
-Ensure the safety and security of guests and property
-Prepare guest registration cards
-Complete all tasks listed on the daily shift checklist
-Prepare and follow daily housekeeping reports for arrivals, departures, services, and room availability
-Assist housekeeping with washing, drying, and folding laundry as needed
-Conduct regular property walk-arounds, picking up trash and maintaining overall appearance
-Close the pool at sunset, cover the pool during winter months, straighten chairs, and return items to their proper place
-Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the employee handbook
Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
