    Job Title: Director of Media Ministry

    Reports to: Senior Pastor

    Summary:

    The Director of Media Ministry is primarily responsible for overseeing, directing, and managing all aspects of the Media ministry of First Baptist Powell. This person will be expected to teach and train students through our on campus Christian school, First Baptist Academy, in all aspects of Media ministry. This position will require managing and leading a volunteer training program so that those who have been trained can be depended on to perform their assigned tasks.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    CHURCH RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct all Media requirements for Sunday services, special events (weddings, funerals, mission conferences, retreats, etc), and extra church services (Christmas Eve service, Good Friday service, etc.) including but not limited to: FOH mixing, Lighting, Video and Sound for online streaming
    • Manage all equipment used for Sunday services
    • Provide Media solutions and support help to the various groups that meet during LifeGroup hour, if needed
    • Schedule volunteers through PlanningCenter software
    • Directly Supervise a Sunday Media assistant, and oversee all Media volunteers/ interns and any outside contractors, as needed
    • Maintain regular contact with volunteers in the Media ministry offering care and support when needed
    • Prepare and set-up the platform for all services in a timely manner
    • Work with the worship ministry team in developing on-ramps for volunteers in the Media ministry by developing and maintaining a robust volunteer training program
    • Assist in Podcast Recording and Editing
    • Oversee all aspects of the Recording Studio (Mixing, Producing, Maintenance, etc.)
    • Provide Media services for Sunday morning and Wednesday night rehearsals when necessary
    • Oversee all aspects of Media for the Youth Worship Center and Youth services on Wednesday nights
    • Attend all necessary staff and team meetings
    • Provide Media support and resources as needed to all staff
    • Manage, Maintain, and Organize all equipment and spaces related to Media (There are currently 5 sound systems throughout the campus of First Baptist Powell.)
    • Maintain a rhythm of personal development and a growing knowledge of Media equipment and trends in serving the church through Media ministry


    FIRST BAPTIST ACADEMY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist the Worship Team in developing a Liturgy Ministries Track that will include Media for church ministry
    • Oversee all Media needs for FBA chapels, performances, and special events
    • Work directly with FBA administration for scheduling events requiring Media
    • Train and direct a student volunteer team that will assist in managing all Media needs for FBA

    Requirements:

    • Committed follower of Jesus Christ
    • Associate's degree or higher in Audio Engineering or similar degree
    • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Director of Media Ministries in a church or similar position.
    • Preferred experience in teaching.
    • Proficient in audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts
    • Knowledge of Mac computers and software in relation to Church Media usage
    • Ability to teach and train others in Media ministry
    • Trained ear for mixing front of house sound and studio
    • Greatly satisfied in serving the church body well
    • Maintains a humble, Christ-like attitude of love for others in both action and speech
