OVERVIEW
At Orion Groups, we are looking for a Clinical Informatics Specialist with a passion for healthcare technology.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist integrates knowledge of clinical experience with an understanding of clinical applications to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes.
You will focus on ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions within the healthcare environment, supporting clinicians, and driving process improvements.
LOCATION
Indianapolis, Indiana (On-site position with some flexibility for remote work)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Train end-users (clinicians, nurses, etc.) on technology systems and applications
Participate in all stages of technology changes, from specification development to implementation related to the clinical applications
Provide ongoing support to users and serve as a resource person for daily operational issues related to the applications
Collaborates with operational leaders, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team to evaluate current EMR functionality and develops future workflows
Collaborates with other IT teams on the development of end-user training materials and documentation
Assists with evaluating and implementing new technologies collaborating with IT for system integration
Support clinicians through change & release management processes
Recommends innovative ideas, processes and/or procedures for enhancements to improve
existing systems
Develop communication and training plans for technology changes
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
5+ years' experience with functionality of EHR in a hospital or healthcare setting
Altera Sunrise Clinical Manager EHR or similar EHR (Allscripts, Cerner, Epic, Meditech) experience with build, clinical content design, and/or support preferred
Experience with Change & Release Management
Familiarity with the Information Systems Standards and Best Practices concepts and requirements
Advanced analytics skill set (SQL / Business Intelligence / Data Validation) preferred
Bachelor of Science degree required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 50%
