AnySummary: Under direct supervision, the Engagement Specialist II works with staff to support the Library's strategic goals and initiatives by assisting customers and providing relevant and timely programs and services, both inside and outside the library.
This position will be assigned to the Belle Isle Library, which is located at 5501 N. Villa Avenue in Oklahoma City, OK
The hiring salary for this position is $21.57 hourly. This is a half-time position working 20 hours per week. This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm.*
*Hours are subject to change according to the needs of the library.
The Metropolitan Library System offers a comprehensive benefits package for half-time employees:
Vacation Leave @ 4 hours per month
Sick leave @ 4 hours per month

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university; and
One year of customer service experience.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
Enthusiasm for public service and the ability to work well with a diverse audience.
Experience building sustainable community relationships.
High level of comfort with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
