The chosen individual will have the opportunity to:
Design, maintain, and repair critical electrical infrastructure including, but not limited to, switchgear, power panels, lighting systems, and backup power systems (UPS and Generator).
Provide significant contribution in the development of electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.Provide engineering support in areas of expertise and be able to work effectively as a team player with other engineering professionals, crafts trades personnel, management, business developers, and administrative staff.
Gather surveys, write reports, and develop documents using Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint.Manage design with National Electrical Codes (NFPA & International Code Council) and assure design documents are prepared in compliance with these codes.
Prepare and issue formal correspondence. Make technical recommendations. Learn from seasoned professionals with industry experience.Develop and mentor lesser experienced team members Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.Preferred Skills 4 years of previous electrical power experience Demonstrated effectiveness in working with teams Familiarity with electrical trade work Participation in large scale construction projects Previous technical writing experience Ability to draft reports, make technical recommendations, and issue formal correspondence Understanding of electrical power diagrams and schematics Proficient with CAD software Proficient with SKM Power Tools software or equivalent.
