    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NH or compact licensure and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital birthing pavilion
    • Unit includes 21 rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms
    • Unit conducts approximately 1300 deliveries per year
    • Day/night rotation or night shifts available at 36 hours per week
    • Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with nurse:patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin and active labors/intermittent monitoring, 1:2 for cervical ripening and high-risk medications, and 1:3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets
    • Responsibilities include care for laboring mothers, triage, and operating room support during deliveries
    • Must maintain active licensure throughout assignment
    • Not open to local candidates within the 75-mile radius

    Requirements

    • Active NH or compact RN license required
    • BLS certification required
    • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the past 2 years required
    • Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
