    Job Description:
    The Business Development Manager is responsible for handling the most important client accounts in the company.

    The Business Development Manager will serve as the main point of contact for all key client matters and is responsible for anticipating clients' needs.

    The Business Development Manager is also responsible for identifying new business and developing relationships, with the goal of increased Sales.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Develops, maintains, and executes the annual new business Plan.

    Responsible for identification and capture of new business opportunities with new and existing customers.

    Acts to increase new business capture rate and while maintaining existing business. Develops and utilizes market intelligence effectively.

    Works cross-functionally across Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Operations, and Management.

    Attend trade shows and conferences to support business capture to create & maintain customer relationships.

    Ownership of New Business proposal development, including market analysis, cost/price analysis, schedule development, risk analysis, etc.

    Manages new business opportunities through the selling cycle resulting in improved win rates and improved business cases.

    Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems. Applies thorough understanding of technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence plans and strategies.


    Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs to further develop business opportunities.

    Identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors' products, benchmarking, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends.


    Comprehensive knowledge of principles, industry practices, company products, technology, regulations, service capabilities, and policies related to marketing and business development.

    Position will require domestic and international travel to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and other sales-related initiatives. Travel up to 40%.


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related degree is required

    At least five (5) years of professional-level experience in industrial markets & applications, or equivalent relevant experience. Aerospace experience preferred, but not required.

    Must have prior experience with business development, account management, and contract negotiation.

    We are proud to be a Federal contractor and supplier of material to the US Department of Defense.

    To conform with US export regulations and ITAR and EAR Part 772, incumbents for this role should be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government.

    Must have or be able to obtain a valid US Passport for business-related travel.

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and have excellent organizational skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision

    Able to work individually and as part of a team

    Must have excellent relationship building skills

    Computer literate, accurate organized and detail oriented

    Knowledge of program management and business processes and procedures, including technical and business proposal development.


    Experience working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables and/or incomplete data; understand problems from a broad, long-term perspective.

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex policies and recommend changes to procedures.

    Ability to respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
