You will lead premium tax projects, make presentations, and help develop less experienced staff. You will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Tax.

Position Compensation Range:
$76, $125,000.00

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
Work directly with outsourced provider of premium tax services.
Prepares and reviews premium tax provisions for financial statements, and computes payments at a high-level of complexity.

Assists or leads many aspects of the preparation of the premium tax footnotes, tax summaries for management, and responds to questions regarding highly complex or material tax items.

Assists an experienced tax accountant in the defense of premium tax audit issues of high level of complexity and materiality.

Manages premium tax audits of moderate complexity including research, responding to information requests and developing high quality first-line arguments.

Recommends and implements improvements to spreadsheets, computer systems and software, including robotics, with the most advanced level of complexity and materiality.

*Proactively leads process improvement department initiatives.
Completes research, project implementation, and tax counsel as assigned on matters of high complexity.

Researches and models complex and material issues, opportunities, or developments, analyzes complex legislative or regulatory changes to identify the potential impact on the company, evaluate alternatives, recommend strategies and/or actions, and communicate with interested parties.

Requirements:

You will bring 10+ years of experience with premium tax, and you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Demonstrated experience reflecting agility, flexibility and problem-solving attributes.
Solid knowledge and understanding of GAAP, statutory and/or tax accounting.
Demonstrated experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer).
Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models or databases.
Demonstrated experience utilizing complex concepts related to accounting, accounting systems, budget, or tax.
Demonstrated experience leading projects.
Demonstrated experience in communicating financial information.
Travel Requirements
Up to 5%.

This is a hybrid role that involves working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office.
