    Position Purpose:

    This is an entry level clinical position working in the mental health field. Directly supervise clients.Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.Provide direct counseling services including individual, case management, group and lecture activities on a daily basis.Participate as a team member in the delivery of treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. This position is a great way to gain experience in the mental health field.

    Job Requirements:
    • High School diploma or GED and one year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
    • Valid driver's licenses
    • Skilled in behavioral management techniques
    • Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents and community resources

    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Provide therapeutic and friendly environment
    • Observe and assist in basic cooking skills
    • Lead and conduct a various groups with all clients present based on topics of mental health
    • Provide basic cleaning instruction and observation
    • Be able to write clear and concise documentation of day's events
    • Complete light cleaning and organization duties
    • Supervise and manage the behavior of the residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
    • Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills.
    • Responsible for developing and presenting all resident education.
    • Consult with other staff members and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
    • May facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
    • Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated.
    • Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with regulations.
    • If designated, monitor self-administration of medicine by residents and record information on medical log.
    • Oversee the cleanliness of the house, resident house jobs, and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
    • Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
    Schedule: 8 hour shifts
    • Tuesday-Saturday 3:00pm-11:00pm
    Pay: Starting at $18/hr

    Work Location: Rosecrance Springfield Group Home -Champaign IL
