    Job Description

    The College of Engineering and Computer Science is looking for a tenured or tenure-track faculty member at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, specializing in Resilient Infrastructure, Power System Optimization and Planning, and Transportation Electrification.

    • We are particularly interested in researchers who have showcased expertise in applying AI/ML to grid simulation and advanced distributed power.

    The University of Tulsa (TU), striving to become an elite institution, is investing in strategic areas of research, including becoming an R1 institution.

    In line with this growth initiative, the College of Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Tulsa is expanding its faculty over the next 5 years and is seeking passionate faculty members to be part of this journey.

    TU, located in Tulsa with a vibrant population, is a private university with a substantial endowment and a diverse student body across various colleges.

    The College of Engineering & Computer Science has a strong reputation in Energy and Cyber Security and hosts research facilities with Industry/University partnerships.

    The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, established in 1969, offers degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering, with a commitment to enhancing research in areas such as cyber security and Internet-of-Things.

    Applicants should provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research and teaching statements, and references. The selected candidate is expected to start in Fall 2024.

    Required Qualifications
    • The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with a strong background in teaching and research.
    • Experience in a research program capable of securing external funding and mentoring Ph.D. students.
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
    • Interest in interdisciplinary approaches to scholarship and teaching.
