- 5+ years of relevant DoD work experience
- Provide technical expertise and assistance to support the development and engineering of new information security systems
- Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, technical tools, software, technical safeguards, and operational measures

$110,000 - $120,000 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level two Infrastructure Cybersecurity Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The candidate will provide essential contractor support for the development, operations, and management of networks, focusing on classified objectives
This involves offering expert recommendations and solutions to the Government for program and project implementation, while strictly adhering to DAF, DoD, and IC standards, as well as government-defined processes
Responsibilities include delivering program reviews, schedules, and action item updates within established deadlines
The candidate will conduct thorough and timely research on policies and processes, ensuring that IT security controls are effectively applied to safeguard system data and resources according to confidentiality, integrity, and availability standards
Solutions provided must align with system and network configurations, approved by configuration managers, and accompanied by comprehensive test plans and procedures to validate desired goals and capabilities
Moreover, the candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Information Assurance (IA) activities, consistent with Government Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines, such as NIST SP Rev4 and the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG)
This includes extending existing classified networks and implementing IA activities for new networks, ensuring compatibility and compliance throughout
Skills / Experience Required
A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information
Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen
The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary
