    Description
    DuBois & King is seeking a Construction Services Manager with 6 or more years of experience. This is a full time position that can be based in our Vermont or New Hampshire offices.

    Supervisory RequirementsHire and supervise construction observation and field office staffDevelop and maintain team construction observation standardsDevelop staffing plans and schedules to meet workload requirements, delivering quality service in compliance with client requirements and expectationsBe able to follow and adhere to all local, state and federal OSHA requirementsWork collaboratively with other D&K staff, mentoring and training of junior staff to encourage involvement with design reviews, cost estimating, specification preparation, and promotion of construction phase servicesManage sub-consultantsProject ResponsibilitiesPerform construction phase administrator tasks such as: Review work identified in the project drawings and specificationsManage quality control of construction servicesManage bid phase activitiesManage submittal reviewsReview contractor payment applications and prepare change ordersPerform constructability and bid-ability revisionsPrepare documents for executionConduct preconstruction and biweekly meetingsManage project closeout activitiesBusiness Development ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain a solid working relationship with clients, including former clients and municipalities region-wide.

    Perform networking activities.

    Prepare agreements for construction phase services including determination of labor and reimbursable expense cost; Including fee development and negotiation of fees.

    Prepare proposals in response to RFPs for construction phase servicesContact and market construction phase services to communities, private enterprises, state and federal agencies.

    Maintain and/or improve procedures/protocol for managing the construction services department.

    Minimum Qualifications6-12 years of experience managing construction projectsBachelors Degree or higherExperience with public and private sector clientsExperience leading and managing a teamWillingness to travel up to 20% of the timeStrong writing and verbal skillsEstablished in 1962, DuBois & King provides multidisciplinary consulting engineering services to federal and state agencies, municipalities, health care and educational facilities, airports, industrial and commercial building projects, energy producers, and the telecommunication industry.
