    Job Title: Project Assistant I (Contingent-Engineering)
    Duration: 12 Months
    Location: 655 Lone Oak Drive, Eagan, MN Onsite
    Hours: 8-5 (flexibility allowed, but want some overlap with the majority of the team)

    Summary:

    • The main function of the project assistant is to support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Complete test requests according to SOP's. Design test methods and build custom test equipment where SOP's don't exist.
    • Record accurate test data. Interpret test data. Write reports and conclusions based on test data.
    • Hands on building of test carts that require mechanical, plumbing, wiring, and programming skills.

    Required Skills:

    • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
    • Team player and detail oriented.
    • Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
    • Basic ability to perform details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
    • Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
    • Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Data/Statistical Analysis (Excel, Minitab, or other)
    • Hands on Technical Skills (Plumbing, Wiring, Mechanical)


    Education/Experience:
    Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field required.
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred.
    0-2 years experience required.
