    Join our winning team as a Turnaround Managerin Charleston, TN. The Turnaround Manager is accountable for the overall success of the turnaround. It is the TA Manager's responsibility to ensure teams are in place; that all planning, scheduling and prework is performed; turnaround execution is performed safely and within budget and schedule; and that all post work and close out activities are completed. The leader is also responsible for ensuring compliance to the Turnaround Management System and site work processes.

    The Turnaround Manager has overall responsibility for leading the turnaround team from the Turnaround Identification Stage through the Startup and Closure Stage. Using Turnaround Work Processes, the Turnaround Manager will ensure the appropriate, timely involvement of resources beyond the turnaround team for the success of the turnaround.

    Turnaround Manager Essential Job Functions:

    • Responsible for meeting cost budgets and turnaround schedules to meet business needs and utilize the Turnaround Management System (TMS) to report progress against plan.
    • Responsible for ensuring TMS Stage Gate Reviews are conducted with key stakeholders to ensure readiness and compliance. Also ensures that action plans are established for gaps identified during the gate reviews. Works to ensure all required capital and expense work is accounted for in TMS. Ensures that the Olin TA Work Process is followed, including cost tracking, schedule building, milestone letters, MOCs, development of TA teams, communication plans, and after TA critique.
    • Responsible for development and monitoring the Turnaround Plan & Schedule checklist. Communicates key milestone dates to turnaround teams.
    • Facilitate recurring steering team meetings during FEL activities to communicate turnaround status to site/business leadership.
    • Develop turnaround teams and identify/fill needed roles. Set expectations and provide needed training/coaching.
    • Review previous turnaround critiques and incorporate learnings into turnaround front end loading to overcome deltas and ensure positive activities are repeated.
    • Actively participate in job plan reviews, schedule reviews, vulnerability assessments, etc. to ensure overall awareness and understanding of all work activities.
    Turnaround Manager Position Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
    • 4 years work experience in a Maintenance Turnaround Planner or Manager role.
    • Basic knowledge of budget management and cost control, planning/scheduling and schedule control.
    • SAP Plant Maintenance knowledge preferred.
    • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills; trouble-shooting and analytical presentation skills.
    • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
    *Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
