    Description

    The successful candidate for this position will coordinate, manage, and develop a network of independent agents within an assigned area by providing escrow, title, accounting and marketing support to existing and potential agents.

    This is a high-travel position within an assigned territory which may include a significant amount of after-hour activity associated with business development.

    This position is based in South Carolina and includes regular auto travel to agency locations.

    Expect 1-2 days per week in your home office and 1-2 days per month in the state office located in Columbia, South Carolina.

    Existing Agency Network

    Actively and consistently conduct (at a minimum) monthly visits to assigned agents and prospects to grow revenue and promote Old Republic's products, services, staff, education, and training.

    Daily assess any potential risk to Old Republic from agents' operations or activities and, if needed, alert management immediately.

    Within the boundaries of applicable regulations, assist the agents in their marketing efforts to obtain business from realtors, lenders, and builders in the local, regional and national markets.

    Develop a list of prospective agents to determine their possible level of remittances, as well as their ability to be a quality agent.

    Follow up with the prospective agents(s) with additional information or to obtain the agency application.
    Monday through Friday, without interruption.

    Promote Old Republic and the industry by presenting yourself in a professional manner while in the office and in the local community.

    Ability to accept supervision and coaching.

    Ability to communicate successfully and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person.

    Actively participate in ongoing sales training.

    Must be able to work independent from direct supervision, as the majority of the time will be working away from the office.

    Proficiency with agency data base system, Microsoft Outlook and others, as needed.
    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
    Overnight business travel by air and/or automobile, is required, at a minimum, 50% of the time.
    Ability to work with confidential information.
    Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
    Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
