- Lead mission critical planning for theater contingency plans. Leads deliberate and contingency planning Joint Planning Group meetings.
- Coordinates with higher headquarters, components, DoD, USG, interagency, and partner nations.
- Drafts operations plans and annexes, reports, information or decision papers, and other planning products.
- Brief O6 level leaders on planning progress. Joint Planning Team experience highly desired.
- Plan, develop, integrate, and assess strategic communications activities into campaign plans, OPLANS, and in crisis to ensure that strategic communications capabilities are considered in the deliberate and crisis action planning processes.
- Provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment skills.
- Demonstrate experience in joint planning, policy development, and strategic / operational recommendations.
- Bachelors degree and years of planning experience, with subsequent experience in a J5 directorate, at a combatant command or equivalent level or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Have a minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience within Strategic Communications or a related field (e.g. Information Operations, MISO, Public Affairs) with demonstrable experience planning and executing projects at the service or joint level which support operations at Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces
- Strong knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning Process, Military Decision-Making Process, and military campaign plan planning, targeting processes and expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level communications plans, orders, and series.
- Knowledge of service departments (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) functions and their relationships to CCMDs and ability to communicate actions in appropriate channels, e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, or Joint.
- Familiarity with other core, supporting, and related IO competencies to assist CCMD planners is required.
- Demonstrated/documented high level experience in oral, visual, and written communications and briefing techniques; must be able to effectively advise, negotiate and persuade various managers, military officials, and senior leaders; and must have evidence in the ability to be effective at gaining acceptance of recommended concepts, ideas, guidance, policies and regulations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a U.S. Passport.
- Requires an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, based on current security background investigation and be eligible for ACCM and Special Access Program read on.
- Must demonstrate creative and critical thinking.
- Must be capable of quickly learning new skills. flexible and adaptable.
- Candidate must be able to relocate and/or live in Camp Humphreys, South Korea and work on-site in client facilities.
- Experience with joint and/or combined military operations and interagency coordination.
- Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army service doctrine, regulations, and policies.
- Capable of recommending changes to policy, force structure and design, and command relationships
- Able to plan, integrate, execute, and assess strategic communications objectives into plans and operations.
- Knowledge of military command relationships and command and control (C2) procedures.
- Able to coordinate related activities within the proper military and interagency channels and develop policies that incorporate the principle of C2.
- Ability to engage senior leaders and staff and conduct complex briefings to large audiences.
- Ability to work effectively within a task organized working groups.
- Expertise in planning, integrating, and coordinating with interagency and intelligence community entities.
- Adept at developing and utilizing information products that leverage current and emerging technologies to inform planning, improve coordination, and enable timely decisions.

Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking an experienced Engagements Planner to lead and participate in planning activities, assess engagement opportunities, and recommend deliberate engagements for UNC/CFC/USFK CDR and subordinate General/Flag Officers. The candidate shall lead the Command Engagement Board and Working Group Process. Incorporates invited engagements into a deliberate engagements process. Instills a targeting-like methodology for engagements and generates/recommends new engagements for GOFO Officers to attend. Drafts messages and talking points. Ensure engagements align with Command Objectives. Coordinates with Information Related Capabilities (IRCs) for layered effects. Ability to verbally communicate to GOFO leaders.

Target Salary Range:$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
