    Role Description

    Position Title: Quality Technician

    Manager: Margarito Prado

    Purpose of Role

    The purpose of this role is to support production by performing various tasks to validate we are meeting internal and external customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Technician maintains quality excellence of our products while working safely with the production and management teams.

    Areas of Accountabilities

    Drive Safety as your number one priority
    • Be an active contributor to our safety culture by setting a great example and following all safety procedures. This includes understanding our Plan to Zero.
    • Understanding how to perform injury reporting and the steps to be followed.
    Follow our Quality Assurance processes to help the plant meet or exceed our QES score of 99.5%
    • Ensure all products that go out the door are to customer expectations. This includes documenting dimensional, performance, and cosmetic analysis.
    • Submit First Part Approval (FPA) through spotlight per procedures.
    • Make sure all NCPs go out when any Issues arise due to non-conformances.
    • Completing inspection checks at 4-hour intervals for each product running.
    • Review the shift changeover each day to provide critical information to the incoming QCs. This can be done during production shift change over meeting.
    • Send out the Daily shift report.
    • Notify Quality manager of any discrepancies between QC log and PQS to be corrected.
    • Understand/read our PQSs, Rehrig Doc con, and SOPs/WIs.
    • Maintaining workstations with PQS, OIS, and Quality notes as needed (Ex. Trimming).

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
    • High School diploma or GED preferred.
    • Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication skills able to work cross functionally.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Injection molding experience a plus.
    • Required to stand, walk, sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
