    The Opportunity

    This is a ground floor opportunity to work for a fully funded start-up company that is making a real difference in the utility industry. Linebird utilizes drone technology to reduce hazardous exposure, improve accessibility of electric infrastructure, and empower the utility industry workforce of the future.

    This position is currently a part time hours/week) position, that could transition into a full-time position within a period of six months to one year. Typical work hours are 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday, with flex time offered. Opportunities to travel for customer demonstrations and tradeshows possible, depending on need and availability.

    This position will primarily report to the Vice President of Technology to build, test, and prepare for delivery all the company's products and solutions.

    Essential Functions

    • Assemble prototypes and products
    • Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure conformity to prototype drawings and/or customer specifications
    • Provide routine maintenance and repair of equipment, prototypes, and products
    • Maintain clean and safe work testing equipment and manufacturing environment
    • Support inhouse and offsite lab and field testing
    • Enter data into spreadsheets and databases from testing procedures
    • Conduct regular inventory audits using the company's inventory management system (IMS) software
    • Receive materials and other shipments
    • Create shipping labels and arrange for package pickup/drop-off

    Key Competencies

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to read part drawings
    • Familiarity with basic measurement methods

    Education and Experience

    • High school degree required
    • Experience with hand/workshop and power tools preferred
    • Some college preferred
    • Manufacturing or applicable trade experience preferred
    • FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107 License) for commercial drone pilot for small, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) preferred

    Hiring is contingent on a successful background check.

    Compensation:

    Starting pay rate of $20-23 per hour depending on background and experience
