- Review medication regimens and identify issues and trends.
- Ensure medications are appropriate, effective, and used correctly.
- Analyze medication-related problems and assist with regulatory compliance.
- Participate in resident assessment and care planning.
- Provide expertise on federal and state laws governing pharmacy services.
- Coordinate controlled substance utilization and provide medication counseling.
- Oversee all aspects of pharmacy services related to medication use.
- Travel for facility visits and comply with ethical standards and company policies.
- Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and provide reports.
- Participate in facility committees and assist with policy development.
- Counsel residents and caregivers on medications and oversee pharmacy services.
- Conduct exit conferences and support facilities during surveys.
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain required licenses and certifications.
- Perform duties with a positive and team-oriented approach.
