    Description

    The LaMarr Firm, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. This full-time position is designed for a seasoned professional with strong civil litigation experience—particularly in personal injury, medical malpractice, etc. —and who can also oversee day-to-day office operations.

    The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, exceptionally organized, and able to operate with minimal supervision. This position will manage a busy litigation docket while ensuring the office runs efficiently, staff have the support they need, and clients receive outstanding service.

    Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation Paralegal Duties

    • Maintain and manage an active docket of 10–20 litigation cases in state and federal courts.
    • Draft, revise, and prepare litigation documents including complaints, discovery, subpoenas, motions, deposition summaries, and trial binders.
    • Handle e-filing across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Conduct legal research, factual investigation, and witness location/background work.
    • Organize and summarize medical records, police reports, videos, photos, and discovery materials.
    • Prepare medical chronologies, damages spreadsheets, and liability summaries.
    • Coordinate and schedule depositions, IMEs, mediations, hearings, and trial calendars.
    • Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, exhibit organization, and trial readiness.
    • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
    • Track all litigation deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and orders.

    Office Manager Duties

    • Oversee daily office operations and ensure the work environment is organized, efficient, and professional.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for in-office staff and provide administrative leadership and guidance.
    • Supervise and support junior paralegals, case managers, and administrative assistants.
    • Maintain office inventory (supplies, equipment, mail), and coordinate with vendors and building management as needed.
    • Implement and refine internal processes, SOPs, workflows, and checklists.
    • Assist with onboarding and training new staff on firm procedures and case management systems.
    • Support the managing partner with high-priority administrative tasks and special projects.
    • Coordinate in-office meetings, events, deposition setups, and trial preparation logistics.
    • Ensure strong alignment between in-office operations and remote team members.

    Cross-Functional Support

    • Collaborate closely with intake, case managers, and attorneys to ensure seamless file transitions from pre-litigation to suit.
    • Uphold firm culture, professionalism, and client-first service standards.
    • Monitor case progress to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and resolve them proactively.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 7–10 years of litigation paralegal experience (personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights strongly preferred).
    • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery requirements, and trial preparation.
    • Prior office management or team-lead experience highly preferred.
    • Ability to manage a high-volume docket with minimal oversight.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Experience supervising or training junior staff.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
    • Proficiency in case management software and general office systems.
    • Highly detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. xhmxlyz
