Interns will work on a specific project that will provide a challenging learning opportunity. Responsibilities will vary based upon your course of study and the business unit to which you are assigned. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Additional Information:

Start date June 8th – August 11th, 2026 (Minimum of 160 hours, up to 200 hours total)

This position will support the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology through Research Administration.

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is not eligible for F-1 OPT STEM extension.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications for consideration: 2.5 Cumulative GPA. Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship. Currently registered in school as a full-time student. Compensation will be a fixed rate based upon the Intern's education level of i.e., Undergraduate, Graduate. Prior research and/or health care experience preferred. Prior internship experience preferred. Please attach the following documents to your application: Resume, Unofficial Transcripts, Letter of Recommendation from Academic Advisor or Professor and a Cover Letter. Include in your cover letter the following: Area of Interest/Area of Study. Express why you are interested in an internship with Mayo Clinic and how this experience will benefit you and your studies. Number of hours per week you are available to intern. If applicable, information on deadlines or requirements to earn academic credit.
