The Legal Billing Specialist supports the firm's global finance operations by managing the billing process for a portfolio of complex client matters.
This role partners closely with attorneys, eBilling, and Collections to ensure accurate, timely, and client-compliant invoicing in a high-volume fast-paced AmLaw environment,
Key Responsibilities Manage the full billing cycle for assigned matters from engagement setup through invoice submission and payment posting Interpret and apply outside counsel guidelines rate agreements alternative fee arrangements across sophisticated client portfolios Prepare review and finalize prebills ebills in accordance with firm standards attorney expectations Collaborate with eBilling Collections teams to support successful invoice submission rejections resolution timely payment Monitor budgets fee arrangements discounts write-offs escalate risks discrepancies as appropriate Serve as point contact attorneys regarding billing questions adjustments client requirements Maintain accurate client matter data billing codes unallocated funds within firms financial systems Assist accruals billing reports ad hoc financial analysis management practice groups Contribute process improvement initiatives focused efficiency compliance client service
