    WestCoast Children's Clinic, located in Oakland, California, is a non-profit community psychology clinic that provides mental health services to Bay Area children, youth and families.     WestCoast Children's Clinic is actively seeking motivated, well-organized, and dependable summer interns to join our team

    As a Summer Intern, you'll have the opportunity to acquire valuable skills and gain deeper insight into our non-profit organization's mission of serving children and families.

    In this role, you'll assist across administrative departments and clinical programs, and be tasked with special projects and various assignments. If you're eager to understand the inner workings of a non-profit agency, especially one dedicated to mental health care services or public health, this role presents an excellent opportunity.

    Responsibilities:

  • Engage in project tasks aligned with the agency's strategic objectives and daily functions.
  • Offer administrative assistance to various programs and departments.
  • Potential responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Completing clerical tasks, organizing files, and managing documents. Responding to phone queries, directing calls, and provide essential company details. Aiding in the preparation of research materials and information. Managing databases across paper and electronic filing systems. Observing office roles and receiving training in diverse tasks.
  • Additional special projects and assignments as delegated.
  • The ideal Summer Intern is:

  • A university student majoring in psychology, public health, or related fields.
  • An effective communicator adept at collaborating in an office setting.
  • Proficient in organization and general office duties such as typing, filing, and phone etiquette.
  • Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mac OS.
  • Experienced and enthusiastic about engaging with diverse communities, demonstrating cultural humility across race, class, SOGIE, and ethnicity.
  • POSITION : Hourly, part-time to full-time, 20-40 hours/week, Monday through Friday. Starting hourly rate is $18.00 per hour. This temporary position is available from approximately June through August 2024, based on the student's school schedule. Does not include benefits.

    All summer internship positions are performed in-person at our offices located at 3301 E. 12th St., Oakland, CA.
