    In Washington, D.C. or Rochester , PA 15074 is seeking a FULL time Occupational Therapist, Hand Therapist or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for our outpatient center. We have a large clinical team on staff with local groups of OTs and CHTs to create a resourceful and supportive network of clinicians. You must be comfortable as the only hand therapists onsite with other hand therapists and CHTs a phone call away. Previous upper extremity/ UE and splinting experience is required but you do not have to be a CHT to be considered. We are the largest employer of hand therapist in the country giving you both local and national networks of the country's leaders in the field. We also pay for your CHT and re-certifications as a full time clinician with us

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
    • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
    • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
    • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

    Qualifications

    • Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy
    • Minimum two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic is preferred
    • Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
    • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
    • Valid driver's license
