- Process tissue specimens for histological examination, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting slides.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Perform routine and special staining techniques to enhance tissue visualization and aid in diagnosis.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and stains according to established protocols.
- Assist pathologists and other healthcare professionals in the interpretation of histological findings.
- Maintain accurate records of specimen processing, staining procedures, and quality control measures.
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Associate's Degree (2 year) or Bachelor's degree (4 year) in Medical Technology, or a related field of study.
- Previous experience working as a Histology Technician or in a histology laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of histological techniques, procedures, and instrumentation.
- Up-to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus.
