    Description

    Summary

    This position is located in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Compliance (CGF), Compliance and Governance (CG) organization of Compliance, Audit, and Risk Management (C), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).

    The purpose of this position is to serve as an Operations and Planning (O&P) Compliance Business Partner (CBP) and as a technical expert for O&P compliance oversight activities.

    Duties

    As a Compliance Specialist , you will:

  • Serve as a Compliance Business Partner for BPA Operations and Planning (O&P) reliability compliance.
  • Serve as technical expert within the O&P workgroup to ensure BPA implements O&P NERC Reliability Standard requirements within regulatory deadlines.
  • Lead and provide guidance to implementing organizations across the agency in strategizing, prioritizing, and developing their reliability compliance programs, processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Monitor the preparation of periodic reports on the O&P Reliability Compliance Program.
  • Serve as O&P risk assessor evaluating compliance using a systematic process to assess risks from multiple vectors, determine root causes of incidents and provide recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to Transmission leadership in evaluating O&P compliance strategies.
  • Lead incident Reviews, Rapid Response Teams, and Causal Analyses to investigate areas of potential noncompliance and make final determinations when a violation has occurred.
  • Represent BPA and the O&P Reliability Compliance Program in conferences and meetings with regulators, other agencies, State and local authorities, private industry and public groups in efforts to obtain all viewpoints regarding proposed programs or program changes.
