    Description

    In this dynamic position, you'll join a growing IT team:

    • You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network cabling infrastructure. This includes tasks like:
    • Running and terminating various types of network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic)
    • Testing and certifying cables to ensure they meet industry standards.
    • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues related to network connectivity, business applications, hardware, and software.
    • Repairing or replacing faulty cables
    • Documenting all work performed
    • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems
    • Documenting issues and solutions for future reference
    • Consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications and add-ons.
    • Maintaining accurate records of cable locations and configurations
    • Installing various types of networks, camera and security system related hardware.

    To be successful in this role, you'll need:

    • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Network Cabling Technician or similar role
    • A strong understanding of network cabling principles and best practices
    • Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
    • Ability to use power tools (handheld drills, heat guns and soldering irons)
    • Ability to operate scissor lifts and work from ladders, as needed.
    • Ability to install mounting fixtures for network devices (junction boxes, conduit mounts and outdoor mounting hardware)

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Certifications in network cabling or IT support (CompTIA A+ or Network+)
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
    • A passion for technology and learning new things.
