- You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network cabling infrastructure. This includes tasks like:
- Running and terminating various types of network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic)
- Testing and certifying cables to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues related to network connectivity, business applications, hardware, and software.
- Repairing or replacing faulty cables
- Documenting all work performed
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems
- Documenting issues and solutions for future reference
- Consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications and add-ons.
- Maintaining accurate records of cable locations and configurations
- Installing various types of networks, camera and security system related hardware.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Network Cabling Technician or similar role
- A strong understanding of network cabling principles and best practices
- Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Ability to use power tools (handheld drills, heat guns and soldering irons)
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and work from ladders, as needed.
- Ability to install mounting fixtures for network devices (junction boxes, conduit mounts and outdoor mounting hardware)
- Certifications in network cabling or IT support (CompTIA A+ or Network+)
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for technology and learning new things.
