$500 Sign-on Bonus

Come join Prism's team Looking for people who want to change the lives of children with autism ages 3-14 through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Prism Academy provides a 10-month plus ESY (Extended School Year), intensive, educational program for children with autism. Prism's ABA treatment is compassionate, relationship-based and a lot of fun. We welcome entry level applicants who are excited to learn We are pleased to offer a sign on bonus of $500 ($250 to be paid at 90 days and $250 to be paid at 6 months)

ABT will support students through the classroom milieu by implementing mastered/maintained programming, assisting with ADLs including toileting routine and mealtimes. Aides may assist during gym/recess, be assigned to facilitate classroom "centers" and will serve as "prompters" during IEP instruction, small and large group instruction.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma. Preferred: 60 credits of college coursework, associates or bachelors degree

In the absence of 60 college credits or an associates degree or higher, must have passed the parapro exam

Special needs experience preferred

Childcare experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical:

Provide direct support to students during ABA therapy to elementary and middle school students with autism (direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor)

Keep students motivated to learn

Ability to work independently

Basic & Physical

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (students, equipment, etc.)

Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time

Must be able to sit on the floor, in small chairs, or stand for extended periods of time

Must be able to push, pull, carry, reach, bend, twist, run, stoop, climb, etc. as needed

Must be willing to manage challenging behaviors with support

Must be able to remain conscious and alert at all times
