The Overnight Front Office Supervisor is a passionate, self service driven leader with exemplary problem resolution skills.
The Overnight Front Office Supervisor will assist the Guest Reception Manager in continuously improving the overall ratings and is accountable for overall guest experience.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob duties include, although are not limited to:
Assist the Front Office Manager and Duty Managers with the training and development of the department.
Oversee the overnight team and ensure proper lineups are conducted nightly with a member of each department.
Create BDS, Daily Script and generate all overnight reports in an accurately and timely manner.
Support the hotel's life-safety systems and be always prepared for emergency situations.
Owning all guest complaints in the absence of all other management, if guest wishes to speak to the Manager on Duty
Focus on prevention of issues and maintain a high level of attention to detail to anticipate guest needs and potential issues, resolving them before they occur.
Directing, implementing, and maintaining a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.Coordinate activities with other hotel departments to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope based on business needs.Ensure open and productive relations with all residential unit owners, including management of rental program operations thru Opera PMS.
Provide support of a specialist nature to the Front Office Manager and other Department Managers.
Work in support of team goals and measure effectiveness by the quality of decision making at the senior level as well as through the profit and service performance at the individual unit level.
Able to exercise coaching and counselling within hotel's set policies.Guaranteeing that staff is adequately briefed on pertinent information regarding arrivals, VIP's and daily group activities.
Creating new procedures for Front Office operations that improve processes and communication.
Assure prompt and positive action on all guest complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions, as well as conduct quality assurance follow-up.
Welcome VIP guests during check-in and give a fond farewell to VIP guests while check-out.Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving guests.
Promotes all the facilities of the hotel and knows the surrounding areas when asked for directions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place of work.
This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work place.Maintain a clean and groomed appearance.
To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel
Enjoy interacting with people in a fast-paced environment.
Opera experienced preferred.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately handle billing.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must integrate company values throughout all interactions.
Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be dependable and available to work on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business standards.
Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
