    Our client, a global food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced

    Mechanical Reliability Engineer

    to be located at multiple facilities

    (

    Hammond, IN; Cedar Rapids, IA; Eddyville, IA; Blair, NE or Dayton, OH).

    The chosen candidate


    will apply technical knowledge to deliver continuous improvement in principles and problem-solving techniques in asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects.

    You will repair and perform preventive maintenance to ensure the most efficient operation while taking a proactive approach to new equipment installations.

    In this role, you will partner with the team on tasks ranging from simple part replacement, advanced troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance ensuring that equipment is properly configured and/or set up.


    The ideal candidate within manufacturing environments/facilities understanding how equipment works, mechanical components design and understanding the breakdown of the equipment and the mechanics of that equipment to troubleshoot technical issues and perform preventive maintenance for the industrial machinery such as seals, piping, pumps, fans, blowers and material handling equipment and SAP experience.

    Responsibilities

    Implement moderately complex reliability excellence activities and identify and prioritize reliability engineering value creation opportunities.

    Execute the development, design and installation of predictive maintenance programs and technology in alignment with the area procedures.

    Prepare technical reviews of moderately complex projects and collaborate with related areas on new equipment reliability specifications.

    Perform the identification and elimination of bad actors and the optimization of equipment availability.


    Collaborate with and provide guidance to maintenance repairs and production in reliability related processes and the identification of critical spares.

    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

    A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.

    Knowledge in maintenance process management

    Background in rotating equipment, seals, piping, pumps, fans, blowers, and material handling equipment is required.

    Experience creating complex tests and analysis.

    Predictive maintenance technologies experience is essential in this role.

    Experience with SAP is preferred.

    Strong communications skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) are essential in this role.

    Good analytical thinking ability and problem resolution skills.
