    Diesel Technician

    Description

    $5,000 Sign on Bonus

    We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution Business in Memphis, TN.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    -Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.

    -Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

    -Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

    -Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

    -Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

    -Maintain own tools.

    In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

    (Entry):

    -Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.

    -Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

    (Intermediate):

    -Completes complex internal engine repairs.

    -Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

    (Advanced):

    -Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.

    -Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.

    -Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

    -Seeking Intermediate to Advanced Technician.

    -This position will require a completed DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification file.

    -CANDIDATE MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AND HAVE 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE. This position will be part of the FTA pool.

    -A current valid license is required for this role.

    -Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience.

    -This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.

    -This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.

    -This role will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

    Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
