Field Technician - Columbia, United States - Apex Systems
Description
Apex Systems is in need of multiple Field Technicians to aid our esteemed client in the security installation field. These positions will be based out of Columbia, MD. We're looking to move quickly with immediate interviews and start dates of 4/22 and 4/29.
Schedule will be 8am to 430pm M-F for training, then 8am to 430pm Tues-Sat once training is complete. In addition to weekly pay, you are able to access a lineup of benefits that include 401k, dental, medical, and vision. Also, please note that pay rate will increase upon completing training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Installs, dismantles, and reconstructs low voltage electrical equipment required by customer or company order
-Makes connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service
-Troubleshooting, configuring, reconstructing and programming existing security and site automation solutions
-Promptly reports defective material or equipment, inaccuracies or omissions in job information that may result in inadequate protection for customer use
-Cleans up debris from installation, patches drill holes, and returns unused materials
Important Qualifications:
Basic Electrical and Mechanical or IT knowledge
Willingness to learn
Customer Service
Education/Work Experience Required:
High School degree or equivalent mandatory.
Electronic Trade School training desired
1-2 years maintenance/installation or similar experience is desired
MUST HAVE:
Valid driver's license.
Vehicle with space to accommodate a 6-8 ft. ladder with room for tools as well
