Responsible for oversight on design and implementation of products assigned to their team. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new user stories and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) to production .

Understands the software development lifecycle and leverages critical thinking skills to properly evaluate features and functionality.

Guides early-career engineers by providing learning tasks as well as work related tasks, directs the work of emerging talent, and helps them continue to grow in their technical skillset through mentorship.

Has an oversight on application, system, and architecture design decisions and guides team to achieve key results for products assigned to them.

Contributes to and leads technology communities at Discover .

Bachelors - Computer Science or related
3+ Years - Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related

~ Building applications using Java, SpringBoot , cloud/container technologies, including PCF, AWS, and OCP, Microservices, and REST APIs.
Experience with React Native (or React JS), Redux, and Frontend application frameworks.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar.
Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team.
Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies and use of frameworks such as Junit/Gatling/Cucumber etc.
Using Database Management Systems, including Oracle, MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
