Our suite of software tools allows merchants to automate key revenue generation workflows to drive organic growth and increase profitability.

The Relay ecosystem currently consists of five software businesses that accelerate merchant revenue growth through email marketing automation, user-generated content management, on-page conversion optimization, and bookings management.

Relay's products are established as key tools in the SMB e-commerce revenue generation stack, servicing more than 35K customers globally, collectively generating>$1BN in GMV annually.

Relay is actively building the ecosystem by acquiring commerce enablement tools primarily serving e-commerce merchants on platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce, and Wix.

Relay acquires 'ready to scale', oftentimes bootstrapped businesses, and invests in people, processes, and products to accelerate the product roadmap and growth.

The Finance team is a critical business partner to the broader Relay organization, and the role will oversee all strategic financial functions, including FP&A, accounting, and forecasting processes.

The Director of Finance role is responsible for managing all external and internal finance team members and resources. The role will drive accurate and timely financial reporting to maintain key objectives and growth goals.

The role will be the strategic finance partner to the CEO, rev ops, and other executive team members to identify business model and revenue opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage and optimize the financial operations of the company and help lead the company through its upcoming milestones and long-term strategic growth plans.

Own all financial reporting processes, including maintaining the company financial model, producing monthly financials and leading budget processes.

Drive timely production of business unit metrics and analyses to support leadership team members and rev ops.

Contribute to company culture development as a leader within the organization committed to creating an exceptional work environment and experience for team members.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills

Previous experience working for an acquisitive SaaS company with a deep understanding of SaaS metrics

Hands-on experience with financial management software

Strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills

In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

Preference for remote work environments

Minimum 8+ years experience in progressive FP&A and strategic finance roles

2+ years experience at an early-stage start-up (Series A-Series D)
