     POSITION:    TEMPORARY� Dishwasher/Server � TEMPORARY

    McCormick Elementary School � (February 16 thru March 31, 2026)

    Hours: 10:15 am to 1:30 pm hours)

    REPORTS TO:   Food Service Director and Manager or Satellite Worker 

    JOB FUNCTION: To prepare and serve a variety of foods so that students receive attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:  

    1. High School Diploma
    2. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Products and other office equipment or software /  Proficiency on the District administered test 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    1. Proficient in operating the Point-of-Sale System or cash register experience
    2. Thorough knowledge of arithmetic.
    3. Ability to keep work organized and carry out duties effectively under pressure.
    4. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with courtesy and respect.
    5. Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with students, teachers and  other school district employees.
    6. Ability to interact with others in the work environment, including the ability to adapt to new  or  different conditions.
    7. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
    8. Ability to be dependable, including good habits in attendance and punctuality
    9. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and other confidential information.
    10. Perform physical requirements which may include:
    11. Lifting to 60 lbs
    12. Frequent standing
    13. The ability to withstand temperature variances common to food service facilities is required. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    1. Prepares cold holding entrees and/or produce in a timely manner, assuring proper quality of food  prepared.
    2. Records temperatures and counts on production record.
    3. Sets up cold holding entrees and/or produce on serving line.
    4. Communicate supply needs to manager or satellite worker.
    5. Serves food during lunch periods or operates the Point-of-Sale system.
    6. Prepares, tests, operates, monitors and secures dishwashing equipment and dishwasher.
    7. Maintain work areas and serving areas in a clean, sanitary and safe condition.
    8. Follow standards of food safety in preparing, serving, and storing food. Follows food preparation  directions and HACCP regarding time and temperature.
    9. Report equipment and chemical issues in a timely manner to manager or satellite worker.
    10. Provides excellent customer service to students and staff of MASD.
    11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Satellite Manager or Food Service Director as normally  attributed to this position. 

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 188 days; Hourly wage per contract � Step 1 $ SY

    EVALUATION:   Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of the School District's evaluation system of support service personnel.
