Job Description:

The Sullivan Career and Life Planning Center at Bay Path University ensures all students have equal access to valuable resources, guidance, and opportunities to define their values and dreams, match their interests with professional pathways, build career competencies that meet industry demands, and navigate their futures with clarity and determination.

We are seeking a bilingual Career Coach proficient in both English and Spanish to join our committed team at the Sullivan Center for Career and Life Planning (SCLP). Reporting directly to the Director of Career Coaching and Services, the ideal candidate will deliver culturally relevant, comprehensive support services to students in either Spanish or English. These services encompass career coaching, training, networking gatherings, resume aid, interview preparation, and support for experiential learning opportunities. • Collaborate with the Director and team to provide culturally relevant, supportive career coaching including resume and cover letter evaluations, interview advice, salary negotiation assistance, and use of career exploration tools.
• Aid in onboarding students for work-based experiential learning under the supervision of the Director of Experiential Learning and Workforce Engagement.
• Create, promote, organize, and assess impactful career events and programs for students, faculty, staff, and alumni, whether in-person or virtually.
• Review student and alumni documents daily via the Handshake platform.
• Work closely with academic departments to align coaching methods with specific curricula and industry standards.
• Gather, analyze, and manage data for reporting purposes, including career outcomes and student satisfaction measures.
• Ensure seamless support for student and alumni needs by collaborating with Educator Coaches, Advisors, Student Success Center, and Alumni Relations staff.
• Utilize and engage with career-focused virtual tools to enrich student experiences.
• Contribute to maintaining, creating, and promoting career-related materials on the SCLP website, Handshake, and other communication channels.
• Support in overseeing alumni-student mentoring and networking initiatives.
• Maintain precise records in accordance with university policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in human services, student affairs, psychology, higher education, leadership, or organizational studies. Equivalency in career coaching certification and 2-3 years of case management or client services experience can be considered.
• Knowledge of academic or industry sectors preferred, such as health and natural sciences, psychology, education, humanities, management, or technology.
Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
• Proficiency in integrating diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice principles into practice.
• Demonstrated ability in providing effective strengths-based career coaching.
Experience working with non-traditional, underrepresented, underserved, and first-generation students is highly valued.
• Competency in program administration, analysis, and evaluation.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication aptitude.
• Familiarity with productivity software, Salesforce, virtual meeting tools, and social media.
• Comfort with instructional technologies and online course management systems like Canvas.
• Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and FERPA adherence.
• Outstanding customer service capabilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Understanding of the university's mission, objectives, and the role of a Career Coach in realizing them.
• Adherence to university guidelines and protocols.
